Focus: The tragedy of domestic abuse.
She was young. He was older, by a couple years.
He said "Come", she said "Yes";
so they married and had three kids.
She stayed at home; he lived his life.

She was taught to obey, so the girl denied her tears.
Then, he struck and they poured,
blinding her in fear.
She made her pleas as he raped her life.

Chorus:
Oh! She would give up her life for you!
Oh; how could he give her a love so cruel?
Oh! She would give up her life for you!
Oh; how could he give her a love so cruel?

Home alone, (he was gone), she sat staring at the floor.
With a gun in her hand, she was waiting for her man,
soul moved by pain to end his reign.
As he walked through the door, there was one shot
and nothing more.
Just a man and his wife;
she got 25 to life.
She pays in jail for her life in Hell.

Oh! She would give up her life for you!
Oh; how could he give her a love so cruel?
Oh! She would give up her life for you!
Oh; how could he give her a love so cruel?

Why did she have to plead?
Why did he persist 'til tragedy?
Life can sustain abuse and pain only for so long!

Oh! She would give up her life for you!
Oh; how could he give her a love so cruel?
Oh! She would give up her life for you!
Oh; how could he give her a love so cruel?
