The
Tzolkin (Mayan Sacred Calendar) is a Matrix of psychoactive,
cosmogenetic frequencies. Those frequencies are universally transmitted
by starlight. When translated into sound, the Matrix becomes a tool
for
radical transformation and personal growth. Question: If the
Tzolkin's frequencies were applied in a popular music format, what
would the music sound
like and how
would it feel? (Granted, what it sounds like is
relative to the type of composition created with it. Nonetheless, several
years
ago,
having
succeeded
in transposing the Tzolkin's Matrix into
sound,) I
decided to answer that question.
Firstly, I worked out a music theory for the 13-tone Celestial Harmonic Scale (CHS). [Musicians, there's both a Major and a minor 5th in the CHS; "M5" and "m5" respectively. You can have a major or minor chord with a M5 or m5, e.g. "CMaj9 m5" or "Gm7 m5", which sounds remarkably different from a "CMaj9 M5" or "Gm7". Any chord is presumed to have a M5 unless otherwise specified.] Then, using a 12-tone keyboard, I composed and arranged three songs. "Love is the Only Rule" was the first to be completed. To record them, I had to exclusively listen to 13-tone music for a week, in order to retrain my ear. This recording was rendered on a Fostex X15 4-track cassette; the vocal performance was done "live", in one take; the blessed end of a pleasantly exhausting day. (Recently, I was asked why I have not included Love is the Only Rule in Art of Pop's "Bridges." I explained that performing this song requires a total show of 13-tone music in order to insure the integrity of pitch and to insure the audience most appreciates the beautiful, subtle richeness of the Major and minor 5th. One of my goals is to create a series of Iluvamil, Elven albums completely based in the CHS. [Currently, Iluvamil's music is 12-tone.] Any investors out there who would like to hear and experience that, my line is open; I welcome your call.) May the hearing of this song uplift you and quicken your Awakening and Ascension.
