FAQs What are the patterns in your software based on?  All of the patterns embodied in our software are sonically or audiovisually translated sequences of the Universal Logic/Code embodied in the Tzolkin. What's the Tzolkin? The Tzolkin is the Mayan Sacred Calender. On the surface, it's a 260-"calendar" us ed in conjunction with the Maya's 365-day calendar [called the "Haab"] to track the evolution of Universal Consciousness over a 5200-year period. While it's superficially regarded as a chronological device, on a much deeper level, it's also a perfectly symmetrical, binary Code in base 20. In accordance with its relationship to the Haab, the purpose of the Code is to engender and evolve Universal Consciousness. We've explained a little more about it on our About page, with an in depth discussion of it in "The Nature of the Tzolkin, Consciousness and Elvea Systems." Why do you use the Tzolkin as the basis of your software? We originally translated the Tzolkin into sound as a means of making it uniformly and most easily applicable for everyone, regardless of language, literacy, degree of study etc.. (Our motivation was to unleash the Tzolkin's potential for transforming and advancing personal consciousness.) Several years after doing so, we discovered the translations have a very remarkable, positive effect on brain function and resolving brain impairment. Also, the Tzolkin is a vinculum, unifying both scientific and sacred systems; hence, relative to pattern recognition media, we believe there is no better system than the Tzolkin's Code for digitally engendering both cognitive and consciousness enhancement. Does your software tune the brain to alpha, theta and other frequencies like binaural beats do? No. It operates on an entirely different principle. Binaural beats use very small differences between two frequencies to entrain the brain to certain levels of brain activity. With them, the brain hears the signals of one frequency in one ear and another frequency in the other ear and tunes into the difference between them. If the two signals are sustained for a long time, the brain effectively shifts to the frequency that equals the difference between them. Our software works on the principal of pattern recognition. Two complementary tones are played, one in each ear and the brain hears the mathematical relationship between the two and makes adjustments (i.e. synapes) to register and recall that relationship. Each tonal relationship is a pattern and each Tzolkin sequence is a pattern; hence, each Tzolkin sequence is a pattern embodying several patterns. As each Tzolkin sequence is played, the brain hears and begins to recognize the patterns of the tones comprising those sequences. The more the brain hears the compound patterns, even subliminally, the more it remembers them; the more it remembers them, the more it generates synapses to store that information and, gradually, to anticipate it, fundamentally akin to memorizing a piece of music or any other pattern recognition sequence. Are headphones required? No. Unlike binaural beat media, the user doesn't need to use headphones to benefit from our products. Headphones will certainly maximize the benefits, but all that is required is a stereo system, so the brain can detect which tones are coming from the left and right channels. What instrument did you use to make the sounds? For the "Loom of Maya", "Mayan Book of Wisdom" and "Galactica" products, the tones were generated by an Ensoniq synthesizer. For all of our other audio products, each of the tones is a pure sine wave, triggered by samplers included in Propellerhead's Reason software. The tones in the audiovisual products are also sine waves, triggered by Flash, the tool we used to generate them. Why are so many of the sequences so fast? The faster sequences are integrating several different, synchronized patterns. In linear time, the Tzolkin's 260-day cycle runs completely through in less than 1 year; however, it takes 52 years for the Tzolkin to synchronize with the Gregorian Calendar's 365.25-day/year cycle. Likewise, when synchronizing the Tzolkin's outer and inner patterns, it takes a long time for the sequences being synchronized to play from beginning to end; much longer than is reasonable for most people to sit and listen to them at slow speeds. Accelerating them insures the more complex synchronizations can be played at least twice through in under an hour's time. How many times do the complex sequences repeat? For the sake of pattern recognition, they all cycle through at least twice; almost all of them only cycle through twice. The brain requires an event to occur at least twice for it to recognize a pattern. Each repetition of a sequence is a set. While each emission of tones is a pattern, in and of itself, the brain is most benefitted when it dually experiences the sequences of tone patterns and at least 2 sets of those sequences. You say it's a 13-tone scale, but the sounds span several octaves; are all 13 tones playing in each octave? Of the 13 tones, there are 6 pairs. We've spread the tones over a 4-octave span to maximize the brain's ability to discern the patterns created by the pairs. Although they're spread over a 4-octave span, each tone is played in only one specific octave. Why is there so much focus on all that Mayan stuff, when the software is for healing brain impairment? Because the Code yielding the brain enhancement is the Tzolkin/Mayan Sacred Calendar. We cannot adequately communicate how the software works without discussing the Tzolkin. Why is there so much emphasis on cognitive enhancement, when the focus of the Tzolkin is on Consciousness? For several reasons: 1) The seat of Consciousness is the brain; our software simultaneously works to improve brain functionality and to expand consciousness; 2) Our products stimulate higher consciousness as a direct consequence of stimulating cognitive enhancement; hence, the more one experiences cognitive enhancement from using our products, the more Conscious one becomes; 3) The benefits our software may yield to people who are living with brain impairment and brain injury are great; people living with those conditions deserve to know about those potential benefits; 4) Cognitive enhancement is quantitative, while consciousness enhancement is qualitative; it's easier for people to measure how much better their thinking and motor capacities are than how much more conscious they are. How does the software enhance consciousness? The Tzolkin's Code is fundamental to the fabric of Space/Time. The Code transmits the Logic of Universal Consciousness, i.e. the Code's Properties engender and evolve Universal Consciousness. Universally, the Code and Its Properties are radiantly expressed through electromagnetic radiation via starlight. When radiantly translated into and expressed via sound and/or light, the Code's harmonics cause a sympathetic response in the local space/time of the user; the user's local space/time properties vibrate in sympathy with the Space/Time Properties of the Code. Likewise, when the human brain is exposed to that radiantly expressed Code, it also responds with a sympathetic vibration, shifting and developing and/or strengthening synapses to process the various aspects of Universal Consciousness encoded in and expressed by the Code's Logic. Traditionally, people use pictographs or glyphs and numbers to identify the individual Objects (or "kin") of the Code and meditate on them to establish a sympathetic vibration with the Qualities encoded in those Objects. Rather than requiring the individual to use a variety of images and verbal descriptions of the Tzolkin's Object to tune into the vibrational values of those Objects, our software radiantly expresses those vibrations directly to the individual and into her/his environment. Thus, rather than requiring the user to employ something 2D or 3D to effect the sympathetic vibrational shift, our software enables the user to have a real, 4D experience with the Tzolkin! Our Loom of Maya product expresses the Code's primary [vertical and horizontal] sequences and related groups. Our "Mayan Book of Wisdom" expresses the sequences of the Tzolkin's primary Consciousness-engendering patterns, the twenty Sacred Signs, enabling the user to deeply and comfortably meditate on the Qualities embodied by those Signs. All of the complex audio programs, (i.e. the "GSS", "Ge", "BrainGain", "ReBirth" and "ReUnion") quickly cycle through all of the twenty Sacred Signs, synchronizing them with other portions of the Code. As they cycle through, they collectively stimulate synaptic generation which enhances the user's cognitive processes in ways that may enable the individual to better access, process and assimilate the Qualities of the Signs, thus enhancing their consciousness and enabling her/him to more easily advance into Universal Consciousness. (Enabling the user to have this experience with the Tzolkin is our primary motivation. Cognitive enhancement and brain fitness are wonderful, practical by products of our work, but, essentially, such Consciousness enhancement is the purpose of all of Elvëa Systems.) Does this have anything to do with the Dreamspell? No; not directly. There are correlations between the Tzolkin and the Dreamspell, but the Dreamspell has not been applied in the coding of any of our software. (We're purists and will not be using the Tzolkin to render any Dreamspell oriented software.) How is your work related to 2012? Our products are relevant to the Maya prophecies of [what is believed to be] 2012 only insofar as they embody the Tzolkin and its Properties for Consciousness enhancement. The more one shifts into Universal Consciousness, the easier it will be to navigate the 2012/2013 transition; being able to apply its Properties for enhancing Consciousness to enable people to effectively navigate that time of transition is one of the primary reasons the information about the Tzolkin has been revealed. Our interests are in making the Tzolkin most easily accessible to the entire world, in order for all people to apply it to their lives so they can gain the manifold enrichment of Consciousness enhancement the Tzolkin may provide. Our belief is that, by regularly using them, people will be "upgraded" (so to speak), becoming much more capable of transiting the extraordinary period. Otherwise, here's more info on our perspective on the whole "2012" matter. Have you ever spoken with any of the Maya elders about this? We have made several unsuccessful attempts to communicate with Maya elders about our work with the Tzolkin. To date, none of the elders we've contacted has responded to us. What do you think they'd say about what you've done? When we first began translating the Tzolkin, (the late) Tony Shearer listened to our original translations and scrutinized them. After doing so, he complemented us, confirming that what we'd accomplished was pure and authentic, thus validating our work. Throughout the course of our work with the Tzolkin, we have maintained absolute objectivity with it, not trying to do anything other than to give people the pure unadulterated Tzolkin in the radiant forms of sound and light. We believe the Maya elders know about our work and would have contacted us by now if it was erroneous and misleading in any way. When they do communicate with us, we expect them to express appreciation for the integrity of how we've expressed the Tzolkin and how we've verbally communicated about it. Does this have anything to do with the occult? The word "occult" means "hidden" and, effectively, we are working with a Code that is hidden within the Mayan Sacred Calendar, so one could argue that it does have something to do with the occult, in the truest sense of the word. However, while the Tzolkin's patterns do apply to a wide array of spiritual and mystic traditions, as well to the physical sciences, it is not an occult construct; the Code is not a product of what is commonly regarded as "the occult." While our software may directly express dynamics of higher dimensions enCoded within the Tzolkin's patterns, (as such have been revealed through Mayan mystical tradition), other than the Tzolkin's mathematical correlations with the Kabbalah and the Hebrew alphabet, embodied in our "Kabbalah Series", our software is not based on any particular spiritual, mystical or occult tradition. Relative to the Kabbalah Series, following direct counsel from Jonathan Omer-Man, we limit our software to expressing excerpts from the Torah and the Zohar and we do not pursue any contemporary, popular Kabbalistic manipulations. What does the software do for people who don't have anything wrong with their brains? It gives healthy brains the same benefits it gives to impaired brains. Persons who have used our software with no brain impairment have expressed experiencing a greater ability to easily process higher volumes of information, an increase in mental and verbal lucidity and a sustained sense of peace and well being. Does the software work for children? Yes; it works for all persons of all ages. Children will be more sensitive to the software's high frequencies more than adults. Has any research been done on your software? We have formally conducted research on only one of our products, "Aurora", which is not released. Otherwise, to date, we have not secured research opportunities to empirically evaluate our software. (We are currently working to secure both funding and research teams to generate empirical data relative to our products' effectiveness in a wide variety of subjects.) How can you make such claims when you don't have research to support it? Principally, our claims are based on both consistent anecdotal findings as well as the consistent results of neuroscience, physics and other scientific researchers who have studied processes involving the exposure of individuals, animals, plants and chemical compounds to music, light and pattern recognition systems and the effects of those processes on the subjects' neurons, brains, DNA, biological, physiological and cognitive capabilities and capacities. (If you design an airplane using the best practices of aeronautical engineering and successfully test fly it, you can rightfully tell people the vehicle you've developed will generally carry them from one location to another by air.) We have designed our software in keeping with many of those scientific processes that yielded remarkable benefit for the subjects of such research. Effectively, we've developed life enhancement systems using existing models that have proven to be highly successful, hence, even without empirical research to specifically quantify how effective our products may be, we can confidently indicate how they may be successful for persons using them. (For a review of research supporting the feasibility of our products, please review our "Supporting Research" info.) If I had to choose just one product of yours, what would you recommend? If you're only using an audio program, we suggest "ReBirth." If you're using an audiovisual program, we suggest our "Elvëa SGS" module; it's an audiovisual expression of "BrainGain", which is an abridged version of ReBirth. Have you ever thought of making a self hypnosis series?
